Giving Tuesday 2020

Giving Tuesday is December 1. Show your support for our women & girls in West Africa.
Make a gift today, build resilient communities tomorrow.
December 1st is Giving Tuesday – a day where one person can make a difference and all of us together can make a change.
If we reach our goal today, your gift to JRS for Giving Tuesday will help us to provide education, livelihoods training and support, and psychosocial assistance to 240 women and girls in Cameroon.
Did you know that nearly 1 million people have been forced to flee their homes within Cameroon?
Among those who’ve fled are women and girls, often the most afflicted and marginalized. In Cameroon over 50 percent of women and girls live under the poverty line and nearly 80 percent of women are underemployed. But, women and girls are also the centers of their families and communities, and, if given the opportunity, will be the driving force of economic activity that will lift up those around them.
This holiday season, YOU can help empower vulnerable women & girls with crucial resources for their communities. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will directly help JRS Cameroon to work in partnership with local parishes that host and support at-risk women and girls across the country.
Jesuit Refugee Service primarily works in Eastern Cameroon to support refugees and local populations by providing vocational training, MHPSS support, community-based preschool centers, and women’s empowerment programs.
With COVID-19 continuing to limit refugee education and job opportunities worldwide, particularly for women and girls, JRS is working to ensure they have access to capital assistance and training, educational materials, and psychological support networks.
With your generosity this Giving Tuesday, we can accompany some of the most vulnerable throughout the pandemic.
Will you help resilient women & girls in Cameroon to thrive?
