JRS/USA’s April 2018 Advocacy Day
17 April 2018 at 8:30am
Washington, DC Capitol Hill
Please join us for JRS/USA’s Advocacy Day, set to take place on Tuesday, April 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C. This event is a wonderful opportunity to take an active role in speaking out on behalf of refugees, both around the world and here in the U.S. JRS/USA staff will schedule meetings with your members of Congress to encourage the U.S. to welcome refugees within our own borders and support robust funding for refugee programs, including refugee education.
The day will kick-off with a breakfast briefing followed by meetings on Capitol Hill. JRS/USA will prepare materials on all of the policy issues to be discussed and will also host a webinar a week before the Advocacy Day to review the issues in detail, discuss logistics and answer any questions. For a sense of what the event entails, please read a wrap-up of our October 2017 Advocacy Day.
