Thomas P. Loughlin is a Managing Director with Promontory Financial Group LLC, a leading strategy, risk management and regulatory compliance consulting firm focusing primarily on the financial services industry. Tom advises on risk management, controls, and governance matters for financial institutions.
Prior to joining Promontory, he was a Partner with KPMG LLP, where he led audit engagements, directed the firm’s structured finance practice, and served on the executive team of its financial services consulting practice.
Tom co-founded and was a Managing Director of Clarient Group LLC, advising executive management and boards of directors with respect to oversight matters. Tom lives in Washington, D.C., with his delightful wife and two remarkable daughters. He was nominated by the U.S. Secretary of Education to be a founding member of the D.C. Public Charter School Board, where he ultimately served as Chair; and served as a member of the board of the Washington Project for the Arts.
He has also been a member of the Board of Trustees of Fairfield University, and chaired the Finance Council at Holy Trinity Church in Washington, D.C. Tom received his Bachelor of Science degree from Fairfield University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
