Urge Congressional Support for World Refugee Day

The UN Refugee Agency reports that more than 120 million people worldwide are forcibly displaced, a figure that has increased every year for the past 12 years.

Congress is planning to introduce a resolution ahead of World Refugee Day (June 20) to reaffirm the United States’ commitment to promote the welfare of refugees and displaced persons worldwide – including children – as they flee conflict, persecution, and violence.

The deadline for congressional cosponsors is Monday, June 17. Please take action today to urge your representative and senators to cosponsor this important resolution to ensure that the United States stands strong in its commitment to provide safety and security to those in need.
