As Fr. Matt Ippel, S.J. stood among over 150,000 refugees in Maban, South Sudan, he called us all—across borders and backgrounds—into a moment of prayerful reflection and bold action.

Offered during a virtual townhall with JRS/USA and supporters, this prayer comes at a time of deep uncertainty, as U.S. foreign aid for refugee support faces significant cuts. But the call to justice doesn’t stop at policy.

Fr. Matt invites us to:

  • Stand spiritually in solidarity with displaced families worldwide

  • Turn prayer into action and contemplation into courageous service

  • Renew our commitment to accompany the most vulnerable, wherever they are
