Now More Than Ever: Walk With Refugees During National Migration Week
September 22–28, 2025 | In a time of crisis, choose solidarity
As the U.S. dismantles humanitarian support for migrants and slashes foreign aid, millions of refugees are left vulnerable. In January 2025, the government cut 86% of global refugee aid. The effects have been immediate and devastating.
This National Migration Week, JRS/USA urges people of faith and conscience to rise up. Now is the time to show that our commitment to human dignity is stronger than fear or indifference.
From courtrooms to congressional offices, parishes to the global stage—your presence matters. Join us this National Migration Week to ensure refugees are seen, heard, and defended.
Join the movement and get started with us on September 22.

One Church | One Family
As Catholics and people of deep faith, we reject the culture of fear and silence that dehumanizes, and we choose instead to stand with migrants. We invite dioceses, parishes, schools, religious communities, and other institutions and organizations to
host public actions that lift up the dignity of migrants—especially in the places where that dignity is most often denied.
Check out this campaign JRS/USA is co-sponsoring with other institutions to organize a public witness.

We Are All the Body of Christ
Sometimes it can feel daunting, and we can ask ourselves if it is worth it. We invite you today to take some time to recognize how you are also part of a global community united in compassion, dignity, and hope.
The Body of Christ is made up of many members, each with unique gifts and a shared purpose. Refugees are not separate from this body; they are integral to it—resilient, gifted, and essential.

Step in Solidarity
Alex’s journey began at the Mexico-USA border as a college sophomore, where she witnessed firsthand the stark realities of immigration and detention. That transformative experience led her to study in El Salvador, live in solidarity with marginalized communities, and ultimately embrace her Catholic faith through the Jesuit tradition.
Now, in 2025, Alex is running across Florida through AR Warrior Races—not just for the challenge, but for a greater cause. Every step she takes is in support of immigrants and refugees, with 100% of funds raised going to Jesuit Refugee Service to provide advocacy, education, and practical support.
Consider supporting Alex’s efforts—or even starting your own fundraiser. Her story is a powerful reminder that faith in action can change lives.
