Hope on the Margins
Together in Renewal and Dignity
JRS is still accompanying the most vulnerable among us.
While headlines shift and attention fades, the needs of forcibly displaced people do not. In countries scarred by conflict, economic collapse, and climate disasters, Jesuit Refugee Service remains—walking with those who have been cast aside, even as global support disappears.
JRS has always responded to need, not noise. From Syria to Ukraine, the Democratic Republic of the Congo to Sudan, our teams are still present in some of the world’s most neglected humanitarian crises. We remain not because it is easy—but because it is essential.
Today, that presence is under threat.
Recent and significant cuts in US government funding—paired with a global decline in humanitarian aid—have placed an enormous strain on our programs. Lifesaving services like education, shelter, psychosocial support, and emergency aid are in jeopardy. And yet, the need continues to rise.
We cannot leave – we are eternally missioned to stay.
Your gift today helps us stay where others cannot. It helps us accompany families through the unimaginable and remind them: you are not forgotten.
