Every day mothers around the world are forced to make an impossible decision – to pick up their families and flee from their homes. These women do everything in their power to make their lives better for their families, overcoming often what are insurmountable obstacles.
You can show your support to these displaced mothers and the work they do around the world this Mother’s Day. Through our Any Refugee program, send a Mother’s Day Card of Hope and support to a refugee mother.
How do you send a Mother’s Day Card of Hope to a refugee?
1. Write a Mother’s Day Card of Hope
Write a card to a refugee mother with a message of hope and comfort. Your message can let them know that you’re thinking of them and wishing them a better future. You can add some something personal about your own mother!
Send a card yourself or organize a group of friends, students, or community members to have a card writing party.
2. Send your Card of Hope
Mail your Card of Hope to the JRS/USA office:
c/o Jesuit Refugee Service/USA
1016 16th Street, NW
Washington, DC 20036
3. We deliver
JRS staff will deliver your Mother’s Day cards to displaced mother’s who live in the 50 plus countries that JRS works in around the world.
What are other ways you can help refugee mothers?
You can learn about refugee mothers and their stories and share with your friends and family or on social media.
Give a gift in honor of your mother to JRS/USA. JRS/USA serves displaced mothers around the world and your gift can help us to accompany, serve, and advocate for them.
