Vigil for migrants and refugees including religious and faith leaders walking in the front.

Stand with Migrants

Plan a Faith Vigil in Your Community

In moments of crisis and division, we are called to unite in hope and solidarity.

As threats of family separation, detention, and deportation rise, people of faith across the country are coming together to publicly stand with migrant and refugee communities. The Missionaries of Hope Toolkit, developed in partnership with Jesuit Refugee Service/USA, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Hope Border Institute, and Justice for Immigrants, equips individuals, parishes, and dioceses with everything they need to organize prayerful, public witness rooted in Catholic teaching.

What’s Inside the Toolkit

“So you, too, must befriend the alien, for you were once aliens yourselves in the land of Egypt.”
Deuteronomy 10:19

Today, more than 10 million undocumented people live in the U.S. under constant threat of deportation. The Catholic Church calls on each of us to be present—to raise our voices, to accompany those who are vulnerable, and to remind our communities that migration is a human reality, not a political abstraction
