Kosovo has experienced displacement of its own people and is still recovering from war and unrest in its recent past.

Some asylum seekers do find themselves in Kosovo, though many only while in transit to another destination in Europe. It is challenging for asylum seekers to integrate in Kosovo, as jobs are scarce and little social assistance is available.

Our Work in Kosovo

JRS Kosovo provides services to asylum seekers staying at a state run asylum center near the city of Pristina. At the center, JRS Kosovo offers a variety of services to asylum seekers staying at the center, such as Albanian language courses.
