An Introduction to the campaign from Fr. Timothy Kesicki, S.J., President of the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States

JRS/USA joins other Jesuit organizations in the US, Canada, and Latin America in calling for solidarity across borders and recognizing that we are a community and only in a community can we move forward without leaving anyone behind.

Over the next three months, the campaign will share voices of those seeking safety and a better life and provide opportunities to take action to express our solidarity. Voices like Benito, an asylum seeker from Cuba who just wants to help others. “Most of the world would prefer to marginalize and forget about us,” Benito shares. Though he has not been given the ability to seek safety in the United States, he is still helping those he can with his training as a medical professional.
