Protect US Asylum

Access to asylum at the U.S.-Mexico border has faced a number of challenges in the past few years. In 2020, the U.S. Government instituted Title 42 – a public health order that essentially closed the U.S.-Mexico border to those seeking humanitarian protection. Though the Biden Administration terminated Title 42 on May 11, 2023, the Administration has put forth alternative restrictions to asylum in place of Title 42 that continue to harm those seeking safety.
