Take Action
Prioritize mental health for refugees
Mental health challenges are particularly acute for those who live in humanitarian emergencies. JRS integrates mental health and psychosocial support into all our programs by providing safe spaces and activities for vulnerable groups, case management services, and individual and group counseling in the communities we serve.
Members of Congress can help prioritize mental health for refugees by cosponsoring the Mental Health in International Development and Humanitarian Settings (MINDS) Act, legislation that supports the integration of mental health services in U.S. foreign assistance programming, with a particular focus on children and their families.
Please take a moment today to urge your Senators and Representative to cosponsor the MINDS Act, to ensure that the U.S. does everything in its power to improve global mental health outcomes for the most vulnerable.
