World Refugee Day
What is World Refugee Day?
World Refugee Day was established by the UN Refugee Agency in 2001 as the 50th anniversary of the 1951 convention on the Status of Refugees. It is held on June 20th every year to honor the resilience and strength of refugees worldwide.
Together we heal, learn, and shine.
The theme for World Refugee Day 2021 is “Together we heal, learn and shine,” and calls for greater inclusion of refugees in health systems, schools, and sports.
